Intellectica is recruiting an energetic Manager of the Submissions arm of an esteemed Investment Funding Services firm based in Athens, Greece. The successful candidate should have experience in consulting for EU/Greek investment funding projects and grants and will be responsible to organize, manage, and guide the submissions team.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing end-to-end the funding-folder submission process, from providing financial advice and guidance to clients, to collecting the required documents based on the programme’s check-list, to developing the company’s business plan and submitting the folder
  • Working with clients to understand their needs and goals, recommend the most suitable funding programs and grants for them, and promote the firm’s services and unique capabilities
  • Communicating with clients, funders, and other stakeholders throughout the submission process, providing regular updates on the status of their applications
  • Leading and managing the Submissions team, providing guidance and expert advice to team members as required from time to time
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on proposals developed by team members to ensure that they are comprehensive, accurate, and compelling
  • Managing the project timelines and the team’s workload, ensuring that all projects are completed within the specified timeframes and budget
  • Ensuring that all team members are properly trained and have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with representatives of government funding bodies, and related stakeholders to keep abreast of the latest EU/Greek Funding programmes and grants (incl. ESPA, Development Law, RRF, etc.), requirements, and regulations 

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, or related field
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in EU/Greek funding programs; hands-on experience in the development of investment business plans and sustainability proofing is a must
  • Proven experience in leading a team
  • Knowledge of the latest EU/Greek Funding programmes and grants (incl. ESPA, Development Law, RRF, etc.), requirements, and regulations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CRM systems is considered a plus
  • Fluent in Greek and English
