Intellectica is recruiting a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Manager on behalf of an established Accounting & Tax Consultancy. Based in Piraeus, Attiki, Greece, the candidate will be part of the company’s Accounting & Tax team, supporting the tax compliance work, preparation and submission of tax documentation, and guidance of junior team members.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Preparing and submitting tax declarations and related documentation in line with Greek tax legislation
- Reviewing financial records and reports to ensure tax compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Supporting the preparation of materials for tax audits and liaising with auditors when required
- Staying informed on changes in tax laws and accounting standards relevant to corporate tax obligations
- Participating in client communications to clarify tax-related matters and provide recommendations
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members in their daily tasks and professional development
- Contributing to the refinement of internal procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency in tax compliance
- Any other tasks that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; Master’s degree and/or relevant certifications are a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in tax compliance
- Prior involvement in tax-related projects within a large audit or consulting firm is considered a strong asset
- Solid understanding of Greek GAAP and its practical application
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting softwares
- Fluent in Greek and English (written and spoken)
