Intellectica is recruiting a passionate and experienced Architect on behalf of a highly successful, third-generation architecture and construction studio based in Athens. The company is a small, agile, and rapidly growing team, renowned for delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects. With a strong legacy and a modern approach, the studio is entering a new era of development and innovation. The successful candidate will join a collaborative environment, reporting to both the Lead Architect and the Managing Director and will play a pivotal role across all project phases, from concept to completion (projects ranging from high-end apartment renovations to multi-story residential developments and office spaces).
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading and participating in the design, development, and delivery of architectural and construction projects, ensuring creative and technical excellence
Design & Planning
- Supporting the preparation and execution of pre-design studies and feasibility assessments
- Preparing, adapting, and refining architectural drawings and technical documentation to meet project requirements and site conditions
- Presenting design concepts and progress updates to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback as needed
- Staying up to date with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies to enhance project delivery and design innovation
Construction & Site Supervision
- Actively managing day-to-day site operations, including scheduling, supervising crews, and ensuring timely delivery
- Supervising construction activities ensuring compliance with design intent, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Conducting regular site inspections and providing technical support throughout the construction process
- Managing and coordinating multiple teams and subcontractors on-site, resolving technical issues as they arise
- Coordinating the process of obtaining necessary permits and approvals for construction projects
Project & Client Management
- Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and successful project outcomes
- Monitoring and managing project budgets and cost control in collaboration with the finance team
- Ensuring all project documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards
- Providing updates to the Lead Architect and Managing Director on design and construction progress
- Any other tasks that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (preferred), Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of proven experience in both architectural design and construction, with strong on-site management responsibilities
- Proven exposure to both residential and commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural works and site operations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max Studio, V-Ray, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driving licence
- Fluency in both Greek and English (written and spoken)
