Intellectica is recruiting a detail oriented IFRS Expert on behalf of an internationally recognized Group of Companies present in the Aerospace, Defense, Security and High Technology markets. Based in Koropi, Greece and reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring full financial reporting compliance, supporting internal stakeholders with expert IFRS guidance, and contributing to the accurate and transparent presentation of the Group’s financial performance.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring the Group’s financial reporting is fully aligned with IFRS requirements, supporting the preparation of interim and annual financial statements
- Participating in the drafting, review, and accuracy check of financial statements, ensuring consistency, completeness, and compliance across entities
- Providing technical IFRS guidance to internal teams on accounting treatments, complex transactions, and new standards impacting the Group
- Developing, updating, and implementing accounting policies in accordance with IFRS and industry best practices
- Performing in‑depth financial analyses to support reporting accuracy and assist management in informed decision‑making
- Monitoring IFRS updates, evaluating their impact on the Group, and training/briefing relevant stakeholders
- Supporting internal and external audits by preparing required documentation, addressing IFRS‑related queries, and ensuring audit readiness
- Translating complex technical accounting matters into clear, accessible explanations for non‑financial stakeholders
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field
- Professional certifications such as ACCA or CPA will be considered a strong advantage
- At least 3 years of managerial experience within audit/assurance in a Big Five environment or in a comparable industry position
- Solid understanding of IFRS, ideally gained in manufacturing, technology, or other complex operating environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP Systems
- Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
