Intellectica is recruiting a detail-oriented Accounting Associate on behalf of an internationally recognized Group of Companies present in the High Technology markets. Based in Athens, Greece and reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will join the Finance Department and will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of daily accounting processes and accurate financial reporting.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Posting, updating, and reconciling accounting entries, invoices, and supporting documentation
  • Managing daily bookkeeping tasks including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax-related obligations (VAT, withholding taxes, statements, and compliance documents)
  • Working with the company’s ERP system to ensure accurate and timely financial data entry (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports
  • Performing reconciliations of accounts and resolving discrepancies when needed
  • Maintaining organized financial records in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, HR, Operations) to ensure smooth and compliant financial processes
  • Supporting auditors during internal and external audit procedures
  • Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a MSc will be considered a strong plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role, ideally within a corporate environment or accounting firm
  • Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and the Greek tax framework
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset
  • Familiarity with Greek electronic books (myDATA) and tax reporting tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
