Intellectica is recruiting an ambitious Senior Accountant on behalf of a Leading Health Products Manufacturer & Distributor with a 50-year presence in the market. The company is recognized for its long-standing expertise in the development and distribution of high‑quality pharmaceutical and health‑related products, its commitment to regulatory excellence, and its strong operational footprint. Based in Paiania, Attiki, the successful candidate will report directly to the CFO of the company and will play a pivotal role in strengthening the Finance Department through the effective management of daily, monthly, and annual accounting operations.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing the full accounting cycle and ensuring adherence to Greek GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
  • Performing GL postings (journal entries, accruals, corrections), maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring timely and complete monthly/year-end closings
  • Handling VAT, Intrastat, withholding taxes, and all statutory submissions, ensuring full compliance with tax legislation
  • Working closely with the external accountant on tax matters, compliance issues, audits, and regulatory reporting
  • Managing daily bank movements, performing reconciliations, and ensuring correct classification and documentation of payments
  • Overseeing AP/AR entries, reconciliations, supplier/customer balances, and monthly closing accuracy
  • Maintaining the fixed assets register and executing depreciation postings accurately
  • Posting and monitoring import-related accounting entries in coordination with Supply Chain and Procurement
  • Reviewing payroll inputs and validating payroll-related accounting entries (external payroll provider)
  • Operating the Epsilon Net ERP to ensure accurate data processing; preparing monthly financial reports and supporting the CFO with analytical insights
  • Providing accounting support to internal departments, ensuring financial clarity and process efficiency across the business
  • Supervising and developing a small accounting team, promoting clarity of responsibilities, performance consistency, and a strong compliance culture
  • Any other task that may be required from time-to-time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5–10 years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally within a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of Greek taxation (MyData, VAT, Intrastat, withholding taxes) and statutory compliance
  • Proven experience in month-end/year-end closings and general ledger management
  • Previous exposure to regulated industries (pharma, healthcare, FMCG) considered an asset
  • Experience with Epsilon Net ERP will be considered an advantage
  • Strong command of Excel and solid overall Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English
