Intellectica is recruiting a dynamic and highly motivated Business Development Manager on behalf of an independent power producer specializing in the development, financing, construction and operation of renewable energy projects (mainly solar photovoltaic) in France, Italy, Greece, Sweden and Finland. With a current portfolio of over 650 sites in operation and under construction, the candidate will have the opportunity to become the Country Manager for Greece in the short to medium term. Based in Athens, Greece and reporting directly to the International and New Business Director, the successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of international projects from development to completion, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Business Development
- Identifying development opportunities such as mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, tenders, and greenfield projects
- Analyzing fiscal and legal contexts in target countries
- Financial modeling and project management
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with stakeholders
Procurement
- Negotiating Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contracts
- Supporting funding negotiations with investors, donors, and development finance institutions
Construction
- Monitoring project progress and coordinating relationships between stakeholders (local partners, local authorities, construction teams, donors, etc) during construction
Transversal tasks
- Conducting market intelligence and maintaining international institutional relations
- Continuous improvement of internal tools and skills
- Promoting the company’s image and expanding the network of contacts
- Any other task that may be required from time-to-time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus
- Experience from the renewable energy sector
- At least 7 years of experience in business development
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
- Fluency in English and Greek; knowledge of French is considered a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel as required (bimonthly)
