Intellectica is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant for a leading company in innovative medical practices. This organization is at the forefront of healthcare innovation, with a mission to advance clinical longevity. Based in Limassol, Cyprus, the successful candidate will report directly to the CEO, overseeing key financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting in maintaining the general ledger by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and performing month-end and year-end closing tasks
- Processing vendor invoices, track expenses, and track expenses, and managing timely payments and receivables, resolving discrepancies as needed
- Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring alignment between financial data and bank statements
- Assisting in preparing financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Supporting budgeting and financial forecasting processes, providing analysis on variances and helping with budget control
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies and tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of VAT, income tax, and corporate tax returns
- Assisting in payroll preparation, ensuring accurate entries for benefits, taxes, and deductions
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring they are securely stored and easily accessible
- Assisting with the implementation of new accounting software or systems as necessary
- Collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Any other task that may be required from time-to-time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in the medical industry considered an advantage
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Fluent in Greek and English
