Intellectica is recruiting a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant on behalf of its client, a fast-growing and well-structured group of companies operating in the logistics and courier services sector. With a strong presence in the Greek market and a reputation for reliability and operational excellence, the group continues to expand its footprint through innovation and customer-centric services. Based in Athens, Greece, the successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and work closely with the external accounting office, supporting the financial operations of multiple entities within the group. This role offers exposure to group-level accounting processes and payroll systems, along with clear opportunities for professional development and future growth in financial management.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing the onboarding and offboarding process by submitting new hires and terminations to ERGANI
  • Coordinating with the external accounting office on accounting treatments, compliance issues, and monthly closings
  • Recording and maintaining income and expense entries for multiple group entities using SoftOne
  • Handling and organising all payroll-related data required for processing via Pylon (Epsilon Net)
  • Ensuring consistency between accounting records and MyData submissions, flagging discrepancies where needed
  • Preparing concise internal reports to support management decision-making
  • Supporting basic payment processes as part of daily financial operations
  • Any other task that may be required from time-to-time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position, showcasing practical knowledge and proficiency in accounting principles, payroll execution, and tax regulations
  • Familiarity with ERP Softwares (Softone/Epsilon Net) is highly valued
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly in Excel
  • Fluency in both Greek and English
