Intellectica is recruiting a Bids & Proposal Engineer on behalf of its client, a leading provider of engineering solutions for subsea cable installation and offshore energy infrastructure. With a strong focus on technical excellence and reliable project delivery, the company is expanding its team to support a growing portfolio of international projects. Based in Attiki, Greece, the role reports to the to the Operations Manager of the Offshore & Marine Construction Division and will be responsible for the end‑to‑end preparation, coordination and delivery of high‑quality technical and techno‑commercial proposals.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading the end‑to‑end preparation of technical and techno‑commercial bids, ensuring proposals are complete, compliant and aligned with client tender requirements and specifications
- Reviewing and interpreting client documentation (RFQs, ITTs, technical specifications) to define the scope, key assumptions and overall bid strategy
- Developing the technical value proposition, including installation methodologies, execution concepts, method statements and clear technical narratives for offshore and subsea works
- Coordinating internal and external inputs, collaborating with engineering, project management, operations, subcontractors and suppliers to consolidate technical and commercial data into cohesive bid packages
- Supporting cost estimation by providing accurate technical input, engineering assumptions and resource requirements to enable precise pricing
- Preparing project schedules and resource plans to demonstrate realistic execution timelines
- Maintaining and enhancing the bid documentation library, ensuring templates, methodologies, reference content and historical data remain updated and reusable
- Participating in internal bid reviews and risk assessments, contributing to risk identification and proposing mitigation measures
- Managing post‑submission clarifications and technical discussions with clients in close cooperation with tendering and commercial teams
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a related field
- Professional experience in offshore, subsea or marine projects, ideally within installation engineering, project engineering, marine operations or similar technical roles
- Exposure to tendering / bidding / proposal preparation for technical projects (energy, marine, subsea, infrastructure)
- Proven technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured and concise technical documentation
- Good understanding or interest in installation methodologies, vessel operations and subsea execution concepts
- Confident user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with planning tools (e.g. MS Project) is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project meetings, site visits or discussions with clients and subcontractors
- Excellent command of Greek and English (spoken and written)
