Intellectica is recruiting an experienced Branch Manager (Thessaloniki, GR – Sofia, BG) on behalf of a leading Supply Chain and Logistics company. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece and reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for directly managing the Thessaloniki Branch and supervising the Sofia (Bulgaria) branch, as the company’s representative. This role involves administering the operational and financial performance of branches, and maintaining harmonious relationships with suppliers, partners, and customers, especially those abroad, as the Branch Manager will serve as their escalation point for promptly resolving on-site issues. The branches already have warehousing and administration teams in place.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Overseeing the operations of the branches according to company procedures and policies
  • Planning resource needs including determining the necessary staffing levels, identifying needs for specific equipment and supplies, and ensuring that these resources are efficiently allocated to support the branch’s operational goals
  • Evaluating human resource performance, by setting clear performance objectives, providing constructive feedback, and implementing regular performance reviews
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by proactively addressing issues and effectively managing emerging demands
  • Monitoring the budget and performance indicators of the branches
  • Reporting to the management in Athens on financial performance, operational challenges, and strategic insights, ensuring that senior management can make data-driven decisions
  • Participating in the strategic planning of the branches
  • Developing strong relationships with international customers and business development
  • Any other work that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business or related fields; MSc in Supply Chain Management is considered a plus
  • At least 15 years of work experience in Third-Party Logistics and at least 5 years in a Branch Manager role
  • Experience in management cost and budgets is considered a plus
  • Experience in collaborations with Balkan countries will be an additional significant qualification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems is considered a plus
  • Fluent in Greek and English; knowledge of Bulgarian is considered a strong plus
