Intellectica is recruiting an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager on behalf of an internationally recognized Group of Companies present in the Aerospace, Defense, Security and High Technology markets. Based in Athens, Greece and reporting directly to the Commercial & Business Development Director, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s market presence, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in key international and domestic markets.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Market Expansion: Identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new business opportunities in targeted markets
- Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and develop strategic alliances aligned with company objectives
- Sales Growth: Developing and executing effective sales strategies to meet revenue targets and achieve business goals
- Market Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities
- Proposal Development: Preparing and presenting compelling business proposals, tenders, and presentations to potential clients
- Trade Shows and Events: Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote its products and capabilities
- Reporting: Preparing and delivering detailed reports for the Director of the Business Unit
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- BSc or/and MSc in Engineering; an MBA or Commercial/Finance degree is considered a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar sales or business development position; background from the aviation or high-tech industry, unmanned or defense systems is a plus
- Familiarity with the defense and security market in Europe, Middle East, or other relevant regions is a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Fluent in Greek and English (both written and verbal) knowledge of additional languages (e.g. German) is a plus
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Military Obligations fulfilled (where applicable)
