Intellectica is recruiting a motivated Buy Side Account Manager (Fibre) on behalf of Safi, a UK-based startup revolutionizing the recycling industry with data-driven AI. Backed by the most renowned ClimateTech investors in the US and the UK, Safi is on a mission to improve waste recovery rates and product quality. Based ideally in Greece or London with the ability to work remotely and reporting to the company’s Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will be sourcing buyers of recycled fibers across Asia, Turkey and EU and onboarding them as long-term partners of the firm.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Identifying and signing up relevant fibre buyers throughout any of Asia, Turkey and EU
  • Account managing fibre buyers so that they purchase material through Safi at competitive bid prices on a regular basis
  • Consistently growing share of wallet that buyers buy through Safi
  • Designing and executing longer term purchasing contracts with high potential buyers
  • Converting fibre buyers to list their own material (residue lines) on the platform
  • Converting buyers to self serve on Safi, using all relevant Safi platform features
  • Providing feedback to the product team, prioritising customer feature requests
  • Any other task that may be required from time to time

The ideal candidate profile should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • Having direct relationships with major recycled fibre buyers in any of Asia, Turkey and EU is considered a strong plus
  • Proven track record of overachieving targets over last 3 years
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Greek is considered a strong plus
