Intellectica is recruiting an experienced General Manager on behalf of its client, a leading provider of secure mobility and telematics solutions with 20+ years of experience across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The company delivers an integrated stack of hardware, connectivity, SaaS platforms and 24/7 monitoring through Secure Operations Centers and a pan-European Control Tower, serving secure logistics, automotive OEMs and leasing/rental, video telematics and personal safety. The client is seeking a commercially minded, operationally disciplined General Manager to lead the next phase of growth, reporting to the Board and working closely with the ownership group and key stakeholders. The General Manager will own the full P&L and strategic agenda, scale subscription-based and mission-critical services, and position the company as a trusted secure mobility and telematics partner across EMEA—combining hands-on business leadership with group-level governance.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Define and execute the company’s strategic vision, aligned with growth priorities in automotive connected services, secure logistics, video telematics and SaaS.
  • Translate strategy into clear plans with milestones, budgets and KPIs per product line, segment and geography.
  • Identify and lead new growth opportunities (organic, tenders/large contracts, channel and partner development).
  • Drive commercial expansion by managing top strategic accounts and leading B2G, logistics and OEM negotiations.
  • Oversee pricing, go-to-market models and key partnerships to accelerate MRR/ARR and recurring revenue.
  • Represent the company in high-stakes customer, partner and industry discussions, strengthening its reputation as a high-reliability, value-adding partner.
  • Oversee mission-critical operations across logistics, automotive and people-related services, ensuring SLA compliance, 24/7 uptime and standards across Secure Operations Centers and the Control Tower network.
  • Implement standardized processes and continuous improvement across operations, field services, customer service and installation.
  • Ensure effective risk management, governance and regulatory compliance in security/telematics environments.
  • Own full P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, margin and cash-flow management per product line/business unit.
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards for MRR/ARR, churn, NRR, SLA performance, install-base health, profitability per segment and contract performance to enable data-driven decisions and transparent Board reporting.
  • Lead IT system optimisation, including ERP migration and integration with CRM and operational platforms, ensuring data integrity, interoperability and robust reporting.
  • Champion digital platforms, analytics and automation to enhance service delivery, monitoring and incident management.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop key leadership roles, strengthening the domain-expert management team and closing critical skills gaps.
  • Build a high-performance culture with clear objectives, feedback loops and strong accountability for results.
  • Mentor and develop managers and high-potential employees, fostering succession planning and leadership depth.
  • Lead organisational change through structured processes, transparent communication and targeted upskilling/reskilling.
  • Participate actively in Board meetings, providing insight-driven updates, scenario analysis and recommendations.
  • Operate effectively within the governance framework, balancing local entrepreneurship with group standards, policies and expectations.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, conferences and strategic partnership discussions across EMEA.
  • Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer) or related technical field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in senior leadership with proven P&L responsibility in a businesses with turnover around €5–15m (or similar complexity).
  • Proven track record as CEO, General Manager or P&L Leader in a founder-led or family-owned business, preferably within a larger group.
  • Experience in telematics, IoT, mobility, security systems or tech-enabled operations with integrated hardware/software/service and 24/7 monitoring.
  • Demonstrated success in subscription-based / recurring revenue models, including MRR/ARR growth and churn management.
  • Background in mission-critical operations with 24/7 service environments and SLA-driven performance.
  • Experience in both multinationals and entrepreneurial mid-market companies, able to bridge structure and agility.
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in B2G negotiations, RFP/tender management and strategic account leadership.
  • Comfortable operating in cross-border European markets and managing international clients and partner networks.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, written and spoken.
