Intellectica is recruiting an experienced and purpose-driven Communications Manager on behalf of its client, a leading non-profit organization with a mission to ensure equal opportunities for all by harnessing the power of knowledge for employment and personal development. With a 30-year presence in the Greek market, the organization places people at the heart of its services, offering inclusive upskilling, reskilling, and community-focused programs to help individuals realize their full potential. Based in Athens, Greece, the successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and lead the organization’s communications department. This is a key leadership role responsible for implementing the communication strategy, strengthening brand awareness, and engaging a broad range of audiences and stakeholders across multiple platforms.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing and implementing integrated communication and visibility strategies across digital, print, and media channels
- Managing the end-to-end content process for the organization’s website, social media platforms, newsletters, press releases, and impact reports
- Leading a communications team of four, including social media specialists and graphic design/video production staff
- Supervising the development, execution, and performance of social media content, digital ad campaigns, and website activity
- Building relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to secure coverage and manage media inquiries
- Collaborating with program teams to source impact stories, visuals, data, and testimonials for storytelling and campaign use
- Monitoring analytics and KPIs across platforms to track performance and inform content strategy
- Representing the organization at events, meetings, and conferences, as needed
- Supporting donor engagement and stakeholder communications across the humanitarian ecosystem
- Identifying new audience segments and building communication tools to reach them
- Managing content calendar and overseeing translation, proofreading, and distribution of press materials
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably within the non-profit or social impact sector
- Proven experience in building and executing communication strategies
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage teams and cross-functional projects
- Proficiency in managing social media channels and using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or similar
- Working knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Fluency in Greek and English
