Intellectica is recruiting a detail-oriented Cost Accountant on behalf of a leading designer, manufacturer and engineer of high-quality pumps used in a large variety of water applications. Based in Kryoneri, Attiki and reporting to the company’s Head of Accounting & Finance, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate product costing, monitoring cost structures, and supporting data-driven financial decision-making across production and supply chain operations.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Monitoring product costs, analyzing variances and ensuring accurate cost data in the system
- Collaborating with Production, Supply Chain and Procurement to validate costing inputs (materials, labor, overheads)
- Reviewing and updating Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings and inventory structures
- Supporting inventory valuation activities, including reconciliations and analysis of stock movements
- Preparing simple cost reports and providing clear insights to support management decisions
- Assisting in budgeting and forecasting with a focus on cost drivers
- Supporting cost-related internal controls and following company procedures
- Any other task that may be required from time-to-time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in cost accounting or management accounting
- Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment (highly preferred)
- Good understanding of costing principles, cost structures and inventory flows
- Strong command of Excel and solid overall Microsoft Office skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with costing modules is an asset)
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English
