Intellectica is recruiting a DevOps Engineer on behalf of a Group of companies with more than 20 years’ experience in the generation and supply of electricity from Renewable Energy sources. Working with a hybrid scheme in Athens, the candidate’s primary goal is to effectively design, implement, and maintain software and platforms to meet customer needs while ensuring reliability, scalability, and optimal performance.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Designing and implementing robust software and platforms tailored to meet specific customer requirements, utilizing proficient back-end programming languages
- Developing and integrating integration services to streamline processes and enhance customer satisfaction
- Regularly contributing to the development of updates and patches to ensure system stability and security
- Innovating and engineering tools aimed at reducing error incidents and enhancing overall customer experience
- Creating software solutions for seamless integration with internal back-end systems, optimizing performance and efficiency
- Conducting thorough root cause analysis of production defects, implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence
- Developing and implementing automation scenarios improving workflow efficiency
- Designing and documenting procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance, ensuring reliability and scalability
- Proactively monitoring systems through automated processes, promptly addressing any anomalies or performance issues
- Providing immediate notification of system problems, facilitating swift resolution
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience of 2-3 years in a similar role
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
- Strong expertise in configuring and optimizing both SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient data management
- Familiarity with management platforms from leading cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and Digital Ocean, facilitating seamless integration and deployment
- Fluent in both English and Greek
