Intellectica is recruiting an experienced Dispatch Manager on behalf of a dynamic and well-established freight forwarding company specializing in road logistics solutions across Greece and key markets. The role is based in Thessaloniki, Greece, and reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily transportation planning and dispatch operations.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing end-to-end freight forwarding operations by ensuring smooth coordination of shipments, from planning and execution to delivery
  • Planning and dispatching daily transport schedules for road freight operations, ensuring timely and cost-efficient deliveries
  • Monitoring transport progress and updating internal systems to reflect accurate movement statuses
  • Communicating proactively with customers regarding schedules, delays, and delivery confirmations
  • Managing and maintaining transport documentation, waybills, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with internal departments such as customer service and accounting to streamline processes
  • Identifying and addressing any deviations from planned routes or service standards
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing dispatch efficiency and customer satisfaction

 Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dispatch or transport coordination role within the freight forwarding or logistics sector
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of road freight operations, routing, and transport regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with ERP and CRM systems
  • Fluency in English and Greek
