Intellectica is recruiting an experienced and dynamic Exports Director on behalf of a leading family-owned FMCG Group. Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will play a key role in leading and expanding the company’s international market presence by driving export growth.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive export strategies to enhance the company’s footprint in existing markets and penetrate new international territories
  • Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels to drive export growth
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with international clients, distributors, and partners to ensure long-term collaboration and success
  • Analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform and adjust export plans effectively
  • Ensuring compliance with all international trade regulations, export laws, and customs requirements across various regions
  • Collaborating closely with supply chain, logistics, marketing and operations teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of products to international markets
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the export sales team, fostering a results-driven and customer-centric culture
  • Traveling abroad frequently to meet with key clients, explore new markets, and oversee international operations
  • Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an MBA will be a plus
  • Proven experience, at least 7 years, in a senior export or international business development role within the FMCG sector
  • Experience working across multiple international markets with an understanding of cultural nuances, consumer behaviors, and regulatory requirements to optimize market entry and expansion strategies
  • Strong track record of driving export sales growth and entering new international markets
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal); proficiency in additional languages is a plus
  • Willingness to travel abroad frequently to engage with international partners and explore new market opportunities
