Intellectica is seeking a highly motivated Finance Manager on behalf of a growing organization in the sustainable hospitality sector with projects in Greece and beyond. Working remotely, with periodic on-site visits to Corfu, Greece, and with a small team, including the CEO-owner and Operations Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s financial operations and contributing to its strategic financial growth, while ensuring compliance with local regulations. Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company’s goals
  • Preparing forecasts and budgets to align financial planning with the company’s strategic objectives
  • Preparing accurate financial reports and overseeing the preparation of financial statements
  • Monitoring cash flow and allocating resources effectively for current and future needs
  • Ensuring compliance with Greek tax regulations, including timely tax & payroll filings and adherence to relevant legal requirements
  • Overseeing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices are processed and collections are managed efficiently
  • Managing payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees
  • Managing and mentoring a finance assistant to ensure smooth daily financial operations
  • Supporting fundraising efforts by preparing financial models, investor presentations, and due diligence materials
  • Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s, MBA or related qualifications such as ACCA, CFA, CPA, are an advantage
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the hospitality sectors
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, Greek regulatory requirements, tax, and payroll
  • Class A’ signature rights is considered a plus
  • Experience in preparing investor presentations and supporting fundraising efforts is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools
  • Fluent in Greek and English
  • Willingness to travel as required
