Intellectica is seeking an experienced IFRS Accountant to join the Accounting & Tax team of an established advisory firm. Based in Piraeus, Attiki, Greece the ideal candidate will be responsible for multiple client engagements, provide strategic guidance, and ensure high-quality deliverables. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting financial records from Greek GAAP to IFRS and supporting clients in the implementation of international standards.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Convert accounting entries and financial statements from Greek GAAP to IFRS
- Review and document IFRS adjustments in collaboration with client teams
- Prepare or review IFRS-compliant financial statements
- Provide technical guidance to clients on IFRS application and participate in meetings or calls
- Monitor changes in IFRS and relevant legislation, and communicate updates internally and externally
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. tax, payroll) to ensure consistency and quality across engagements
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants, reviewing their work and offering technical support
- Contribute to internal process improvements and knowledge sharing
- Visit client sites when needed for operational support and relationship management
- Any other tasks that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; Master’s degree and/or relevant certifications are a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting & tax advisory services
- Solid understanding of IFRS
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting softwares
- Fluent in Greek and English (written and spoken)
