Intellectica is recruiting an ambitious In-Licensing & Strategic Alliances Associate on behalf of a leading Greek pharmaceutical company with an international presence. Based in Athens, Greece, the successful candidate will join the In-Licensing & Business Development team, supporting the company’s efforts to expand its pharmaceutical portfolio and strike impactful strategic partnerships.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Supporting the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of in-licensing opportunities in line with the company’s portfolio strategy and commercial objectives
- Conducting comprehensive product and market-level analyses, with a particular focus on understanding market access requirements across different therapeutic categories and locations
- Collaborating closely with internal teams, including Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Medical, and Marketing, to assess product potential and prepare tailored registration and launch plans
- Assisting in the drafting and negotiation of licensing agreements, in coordination with legal, commercial, and senior Business Development stakeholders
- Facilitating discussions and due diligence processes with multinational companies, where relevant
- Contributing to the company’s international expansion, particularly in the Middle East, by developing insights into regional access frameworks and market conditions
- Monitoring industry trends, competitive landscape, and portfolio analytics to support strategic decision-making within the Business Development function
- Acting as a key liaison across departments to ensure operational alignment and cross-functional execution of new product opportunities
- Representing the company at partnering events, conferences, and business development forums, maintaining a professional and strategic presence
- Any other work that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelors’ Degree from a reputable university; Master’s degree is considered a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, ideally in in-licensing, business development, or market access support functions
- Familiarity with market access principles and product-specific requirements across therapeutic areas
- Prior exposure to portfolio analysis or participation in international business development initiatives will be considered a strong plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to deliver clear, data-backed business proposals
- Fluent in Greek and English
