Intellectica is recruiting a highly skilled Investment Manager on behalf of its client, a dynamic, fast-growing maritime investment and operations group with global reach. The group—active across shipping, energy, and maritime investments—offers a dynamic environment shaped by capital market engagement, strategic acquisitions, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Based in Metamorfosi, Attiki, Greece and reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Investment Manager will play a central role in evaluating corporate finance opportunities, executing investment strategies, and supporting capital structuring initiatives across the Group’s operations.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Support the end-to-end execution of fleet financing, refinancing, and structured debt transactions, including loan and bond documentation, compliance, and stakeholder engagement
 - Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis for new investments, acquisitions, and capital allocation projects
 - Conduct detailed research and due diligence on acquisition targets, markets, and asset classes aligned with the Group’s investment thesis
 - Prepare Board-level presentations and strategic materials to inform executive and shareholder decision-making
 - Contribute to post-deal integration planning and delivery in coordination with legal, operations, and finance teams
 - Maintain advanced investment evaluation tools and dashboards to monitor returns, IRR, and risk metrics across the Group’s portfolio
 - Collaborate with internal departments (legal, accounting, commercial) and external advisors to support deal structuring and financial negotiations
 - Participate in liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, and portfolio monitoring to optimize capital deployment
 - Track shipping market trends, financial markets, and geopolitical developments to identify risks and strategic opportunities
 - Undertake special projects and support the CFO in cross-functional corporate finance initiatives as required
 - Any other task required from time to time
 
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MSc, MBA, or CFA/IRC designation is highly preferred
 - Minimum of 4 years’ experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or private equity, ideally with exposure to M&A, debt structuring, or treasury
 - Previous involvement in shipping, maritime asset management, or US-listed companies is strongly advantageou
 - Excellent financial modeling and presentation development skills with a high degree of accuracy
 - Familiarity with capital markets, regulatory frameworks, and investor-facing deliverables
 - Effective communicator with the ability to present complex financial data to senior audiences
 - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
 - Fluency in English and Greek (written and spoken)
