Intellectica is seeking a motivated IT Specialist on behalf of its client, a well-established and rapidly growing organization active in the import, development, and distribution of professional and household equipment solutions for the HORECA and wider professional market. Based in Athens, Greece, the role reports directly to the IT Director. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting daily IT operations, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and security of hardware and software systems to ensure business continuity and optimal performance for all users.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing first‑level technical support to internal users, resolving issues related to workstations, laptops/desktops, peripheral devices, and essential software
- Managing user accounts and access rights through Active Directory and MS Office 365, ensuring secure and compliant system usage
- Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting system malfunctions, and coordinating hardware repairs or replacements as needed
- Conducting regular equipment checks to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime
- Monitoring and maintaining the organization’s local network to ensure stable connectivity and consistent performance
- Assisting in scheduling and executing system updates, upgrades, and routine preventive maintenance
- Supporting and implementing essential security protocols, including Antivirus, Firewalls, and Web filtering solutions
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- University degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, IT studies, or a related field
- Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk environments, or similar technical environments
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory, MS Office 365 management, and network security technologies (AV, Firewalls, etc.)
- Fluency in both Greek and English
