Intellectica is recruiting, on behalf of a leading FMCG group of companies, a Growth & Innovation Marketing Manager to shape the positioning and marketing strategy of the product portfolio, drive profitable innovation launches, and strengthen brand performance in the Greek market. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the role partners closely with Sales and key internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across ATL, digital, and trade marketing initiatives. We are looking for a commercially minded, structured communicator who combines persuasive influence with steady follow-through and pragmatic, data-informed decision making.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Define marketing strategy and annual marketing plans aligned to business objectives for existing and new brands/categories.
- Collaborate with senior management to set category priorities and strategic direction
- Finalize and recommend to the Commercial Director the positioning and strategic roadmap for each brand/category
- Communicate positioning and category priorities to the wider Commercial Division, aligning annual plans and channel focus
- Ensure consistent brand positioning across all channels and touchpoints
- Own end-to-end execution of annual marketing plans across ATL, BTL and Digital (TV, OOH, social, e-commerce, in-store), coordinating agencies and suppliers to deliver impactful campaigns
- Ensure the agreed strategy is implemented consistently by internal teams and external partners (agencies, suppliers, distributors).
- Research market and consumer trends to identify growth opportunities and support profitable product launches
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to optimize performance and inform strategic decisions, including entry into new categories
- Monitor market share, category trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks
- Define success metrics (e.g., launch scorecards, brand health KPIs) and lead regular performance reviews; track and analyze KPIs across campaigns, digital/social and trade initiatives
- Coordinate with Sales and, where applicable, Medical/Scientific teams to align promotional priorities and execution plans
- Design and present promotional and trade marketing initiatives to improve sales performance and brand visibility
- Maintain strong visibility of in-market execution through regular market visits and audits (shelf presence, in-store image, promotional compliance)
- Own the annual marketing budget: planning, allocation across channels, monitoring and optimization to ensure cost efficiency and ROI
- Partner with Sales to build sales budget and forecast assumptions, ensuring marketing priorities support volume and value targets
- Lead and develop the marketing team by setting objectives, coaching performance and building capability
- Lead agency selection and negotiations, safeguarding company interests and ensuring high-quality, on-time deliverables
- Manage key projects, timelines and stakeholders, ensuring clear coordination and on-time delivery
- Represent the company at industry events and maintain strong relationships with external partners
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
- Master’s degree in Marketing, MBA and/or related certifications are highly desirable
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in FMCG, including at least 4 years in a leadership role managing teams and multiple brands
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute marketing strategies that drive brand growth and market share.
- Hands-on experience in integrated campaigns (ATL, BTL, Digital), e-commerce activation, and performance analytics
- Proficiency in market research methodologies, consumer insights analysis, and competitive benchmarking
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget planning and P&L management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
- Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
