Intellectica is seeking an experienced Milk Zone Inspector on behalf of a leading dairy products producer. Based in Attica and reporting to the company’s Supply Chain Director, the successful candidate will ensure the supply of top-quality milk by supervising the farms that supply milk to the company. The role includes selecting relevant providers, conducting quality checks, and coordinating the distribution of milk to production units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing dairy farms and in quality control.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Provider Selection
- Identifying and evaluating potential milk suppliers based on company quality standards and requirements
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with milk suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply of high-quality milk
Quality Control
- Conducting regular inspections of milk supplier farms to ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
- Monitoring milk quality through various control methods and ensuring it meets the company’s quality standards
- Implementing corrective actions when quality standards are not met
Delivery Coordination
- Coordinating the collection and transportation of milk from farms to production units
- Ensuring timely and efficient delivery of milk to production units
- Working closely with the supply chain team to optimize routes and delivery schedules
Reporting and Documentation
- Collecting and analyzing data and creating reports on farm performance, distribution processes, and milk quality
- Using this data to improve efficiency and quality
- Reporting any issues or deviations to management and proposing solutions
Development and Implementation of Standards
- Participating in the development and implementation of internal milk quality standards
- Monitoring and updating procedures to ensure compliance with international standards
Contract Management and Negotiations
- Negotiating commercial terms of cooperation to optimize profit margins and payment terms
- Participating in the management of contracts with milk suppliers
Complaint Management
- Handling and resolving complaints related to milk quality from internal customers
Compliance & Environmental Management
- Ensuring that all milk suppliers comply with local regulations and industry standards
- Ensuring that farms implement environmentally friendly practices in milk production management
- Developing and promoting initiatives to reduce the environmental footprint of the milk supply chain
Professional experience and qualifications of the successful candidate:
- Degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, Agronomy, or related fields
- Minimum of 3 years experience in managing dairy farms, procuring or managing the quality of milk, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of dairy farming practices, milk quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages
