Intellectica is recruiting a Payroll & HR Operations Specialist on behalf of a leading group of companies with over 20 years of experience in electricity generation and supply from Renewable Energy Sources. Reporting directly to the HR Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in executing payroll processes and managing core HR operations. This is a hands-on role with exposure to the full employee lifecycle and compliance activities, offering the opportunity to gradually expand into broader HR functions such as recruitment, employee benefits, learning & development, internal communications, and employee engagement initiatives.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Support core HR operations by ensuring accurate execution of employee lifecycle processes, compliance tasks, and coordination with internal departments and external providers
- Execute payroll processes including salary adjustments, allowances, deductions, and employee entries/exits, in close collaboration with Accounting and external payroll partners
- Coordinate benefits administration, such as meal vouchers via Edenred, ensuring timely and accurate data flow across systems
- Manage employee insurance procedures, including onboarding/offboarding in private plans, and liaising with IKA, banks, and insurance providers
- Ensure compliance with labor legislation, including ERGANI submissions and post-payroll processes such as ΑΠΔ and ΦΜΥ
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding logistics, preparing contracts and documentation, updating HR systems, and coordinating equipment handovers
- Maintain and support HR tools and systems, including mobile telephony setups and internal platforms used for employee management
- Contribute to ad hoc HR support, including employee file audits, request logging, onboarding logistics, and quarterly CSR or internal events
- Gradually expand into broader HR functions, such as recruitment, employee benefits, learning & development, internal communications, and employee engagement initiatives—based on interest and business needs
- Other tasks may be assigned from time to time, as needed
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in payroll execution, combined with a solid understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with ERGANI submissions and exposure to post-payroll processes such as ΑΠΔ and ΦΜΥ is highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of Greek employment legislation and compliance standards
- Demonstrated passion for Human Resources, with a genuine interest in expanding into areas such as recruitment, rewards, learning & development, and employee engagement
- Proficiency in payroll software (ideally Epsilon or Entersoft) and advanced use of MS Office tools, especially Excel
- Fluency in both Greek and English, with the ability to communicate professionally across teams and stakeholders
