Intellectica is recruiting on behalf of its client, a well-established and forward-thinking professional services firm specializing in accounting, tax advisory, and financial consulting. As part of its strategic growth, the firm is seeking a Project Management Officer (PMO) to lead cross-functional initiatives, drive operational improvements, and support client delivery excellence. This role reports directly to the CEO and will play a pivotal part in aligning internal operations with client needs and digital transformation goals.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of internal and client-facing projects, including ERP implementations, process improvements, and service delivery enhancements
- Acting as the central coordination point between accounting teams, IT/system vendors, and executive leadership to ensure timely and high-quality project outcomes
- Acting as a trusted Consultant to clients—understanding their needs, advising on tailored accounting and systems solutions, and helping convert opportunities into long-term engagements
- Supporting the development of proposals and presentations for key clients
- Overseeing ERP system migrations and upgrades, ensuring alignment with accounting workflows and regulatory requirements
- Serving as the final point of approval for client delivery, ensuring deliverables meet the firm’s standards of quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction
- Establishing and maintaining project governance frameworks, reporting tools, and performance dashboards
- Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and quality of service
- Conducting post-project evaluations and driving continuous improvement initiatives across teams
- Providing strategic input to the CEO on operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and digital enablement
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, ACCA, CPA) are considered a strong plus
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project or operations management within accounting, consulting, or professional services environments
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance frameworks (Greek GAAP, IFRS)
- Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SoftOne, SAP, Epsilon Net) and involvement in system implementation or migration projects
- Demonstrated ability to engage with clients, understand their business needs, and deliver tailored solutions
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Asana, MS Project, Monday.com)
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken
