Intellectica is recruiting a dynamic Sales Engineer on behalf of a leading Food Processing & Packaging Equipment Company with a 50-year presence in the field of food processing and packaging. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece and reporting directly to the Area Sales Manager, the successful candidate’s primary goal is to generate new business, build strong relationships with clients, and contribute to the overall growth of the company.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Promoting the company’s products (machines, equipment, or complete production lines) to existing clientele by showcasing their competitive advantages
  • Fostering positive and long-term relationships with customers, through regular visits and effective communication to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Conducting market research to identify new markets and expand the company’s clientele
  • Monitoring the company’s sales funnel by maintaining accurate records of all sales activity (prospects and results) and adjusting sales strategies accordingly
  • Conducting cost analyses for projects and preparing accurate and competitive quotations and proposals for clients in a timely manner
  • Monitoring the design of the production line in cooperation with the engineering department and overseeing the installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Ensuring excellent after-sales service is provided to customers in cooperation with the engineering department, including addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Traveling domestically to attend client meetings and internationally to participate in trade fairs and exhibitions of special interest

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Sales, preferably in the Food Machinery industry
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
  • Willingness to travel as needed
