Intellectica is recruiting a motivated SCADA Engineer on behalf of a Group of companies, with more than 20 years’ experience in the generation and supply of electricity from Renewable Energy sources. Based at the company’s production plant in Attiki, Greece, and working in a hybrid model, the candidate will report directly to the R&D Manager. The primary goal of this role is to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of SCADA systems for the company’s energy projects, with a particular focus on hydrogen projects.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Evaluating and identifying the most suitable equipment to perform required tasks within SCADA systems
  • Designing installations according to project specifications, ensuring compatibility and efficiency
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, automation engineers, and project managers to design, develop, and implement SCADA systems for energy projects
  • Understand hardware specifications and select appropriate components for SCADA systems, ensuring compatibility and reliability
  • Creating and maintaining SCADA architecture, ensuring efficient data acquisition, monitoring, and control
  • Customizing SCADA solutions based on project requirements, ensuring optimal functionality and performance
  • Working closely with electrical and automation engineers to integrate SCADA hardware into existing systems or new installations
  • Developing intuitive and user-friendly SCADA interfaces for operators and maintenance personnel, facilitating efficient operation and troubleshooting
  • Designing and implementing the backend infrastructure for SCADA systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security
  • Staying updated on existing and emerging technologies in the PLC and SCADA sector

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, or a related field
  • Electronics and automation certifications are a plus
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Hydrogen Technologies is preferred
  • Proven experience in PLC and SCADA technologies, with a focus on design, development, and implementation
  • Knowledge of Energy Management Systems development is considered a plus
  • Proficiency in AVEVA Edge platform is preferred
  • Experience with hardware and software selection, customization, and integration
  • Fluent in Greek and English (both written and verbal)
