Intellectica is recruiting on behalf of its client, a rapidly growing group of companies active in architecture, construction, and hospitality development, headquartered in Athens. The company is currently seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer for a full-time, year-round position. The successful candidate, reporting directly to the Lead Engineer, will join the company’s construction engineering team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality building projects across Greece.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring consistent on-site presence at project locations, both within and outside Attica, to oversee execution and represent the company’s interests
  • Supervising on-site construction activities to ensure accurate implementation of architectural and structural plans
  • Monitoring construction progress and ensure adherence to approved timelines, specifications, and safety standards
  • Identifying and resolving technical or operational issues during construction, ensuring minimal disruption to project flow
  • Managing building projects using modern project management methodologies to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality in line with corporate objectives
  • Preparing detailed project budgets and cost estimations, and monitoring financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assessing and negotiating subcontractor and supplier offers to ensure value and alignment with project requirements
  • Maintaining effective communication with all project stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
  • Collaborating closely with architectural and hospitality departments to ensure seamless integration of design and construction
  • Tracking and reporting on project milestones, risks, and progress to the central engineering team
  • Any other tasks that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field
  • PMP certification from PMI is a plus
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in construction site management within a technical or construction company
  • Proven experience managing medium to large-scale hospitality projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural works and site operations
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and cost control in construction
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD (or equivalent design software); SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Valid driving license
  • Fluency in both Greek and English (written and spoken)
