Intellectica is recruiting an experienced Strategic HR Director on behalf of a Leading European Healthcare Provider. Based in Athens, Greece and reporting to the General Manager of the Group, the candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s human resource strategy & related policies in alignment with the Group’s mission, vision and strategic objectives.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing studies aimed at creating systems and new processes for the development of human resources, which promote and align with the objectives of the Administration
  • Dealing with organizational charts and organizational changes, designing career and succession plans*
  • Working on detailed job descriptions, outlining critical professional and qualitative skills
  • Designing and supervising the implementation of the annual performance evaluation process, collecting statistical data and results
  • Creating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to quantify Human Resource Performance (benchmarking of clinics, sharing indicators with the Clinics)
  • Crafting the annual training planning based on the educational needs of the staff and supervising the organization of relevant training programs
  • Collecting and processing data relating to employee satisfaction (workplace climate and employee engagement surveys)
  • Collaborating with the Administration department, the General Managers of the Hospitals, and all Group Directors to properly map out of the needs relating to staff development
  • Implementing decisions and policies relating to Administration
  • Drafting and presenting monthly accountability statements to the Administration and the Group Strategic Partners regarding personnel issues and salary expenses of the Hospitals
  • In collaboration with the Administration Department:
    • Processing the annual salary policy
    • Processing and supervising the benefits policy for employees
    • Processing the annual budget for salary expenses of the Hospitals and the Group and monitoring any deviations
  • Ensuring adherence of employees to the Group’s set policies including Quality Policy and Environmental Policy
  • Any other act that may be required from time to time

*A systematic process of identifying and developing candidates in critical positions that have a significant impact on the mission of the company. Critical positions include those requiring specialized knowledge and skills, high-level leadership positions, and those defined by Group Directors as “mission-critical”

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management and/or related certifications are considered a plus
  • At least 12 years of experience in a HR management and 4 years in an HR Director position; combined experience from a multinational corporations (MNCs) and family businesses is considered a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of HR principles, strategies, and practices, including organizational charts, career and succession plans, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations and recruitment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
