Intellectica is recruiting an Operations Manager on behalf of its client, a leading provider of specialized engineering solutions for subsea cable installation and offshore energy infrastructure. Known for its commitment to technical excellence, operational reliability, and client-focused delivery, the company is expanding its project team to support a growing pipeline of complex international projects. The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in aligning onshore logistics, offshore field execution, and cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless delivery of complex marine infrastructure projects. Based in Attiki, Greece – with international travel to global project sites for up to 4-6 months per year – the successful candidate shall report directly to the Director of Offshore & Marine Construction.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Coordinate the full lifecycle of offshore and marine construction projects, ensuring smooth integration of onshore and offshore operations
- Supervise vessel mobilization, execution, and demobilization, working closely with Masters, OCMs, and marine superintendents
- Liaise with project managers and offshore crews to ensure task readiness, resource allocation, and real-time operational alignment
- Oversee the preparation, inspection, and certification of project cargo in line with maritime safety and logistics standards
- Manage the offshore operations warehouse, ensuring optimal equipment storage, maintenance tracking, and dispatch accuracy
- Direct international and domestic logistics operations, including freight planning, customs compliance, and backload coordination
- Plan and coordinate the mobilization of offshore personnel, ensuring certifications, travel logistics, and readiness are in place
- Act as the primary point of contact for field personnel during mobilization, offshore rotation, and demobilization
- Develop operational schedules, resource plans, and project dashboards to track progress and ensure timely execution
- Promote and enforce adherence to HSEQ protocols, supporting safety briefings, incident reporting, and continuous improvement practices
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in offshore project operations or marine construction environments
- Demonstrated expertise in vessel mobilization, equipment logistics, and field operations support
- Strong understanding of offshore construction equipment, lifting and rigging procedures, and marine transport standards
- Familiarity with international logistics, customs regulations, and IMCA/DP compliance is considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner, along with general MS Office applications
- Flexible to travel 4-6 months per year
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken
