Intellectica is recruiting a Senior Construction Site Engineer on behalf of a dynamic and fast-growing construction company specializing in the development, renovation, and delivery of high-specification private residential projects. With a strong reputation for delivering complex residential transformations, the company is launching a full-scale reconstruction of a multi-unit building in central Athens. To lead this initiative, we are seeking a highly experienced and autonomous Senior Construction Site Engineer who will take full ownership of the construction site and drive the project from inception to completion. Reporting directly to the Project Manager and the General Manager, this role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in managing large-scale renovation works, coordinating teams, and ensuring technical excellence throughout the build.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Take full responsibility for the execution of a €1M+ building reconstruction project (59 apartments) in central Athens
- Lead and manage all on-site operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, technical specifications, and project timelines
- Develop and maintain the site’s organogram, detailed Gantt schedules (MS Project) and technical documentation
- Interpret architectural and mechanical drawings, propose structural solutions (e.g., steel constructions) using AutoCAD
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of materials
- Prepare and evaluate technical specifications, cost estimates, and vendor proposals
- Communicate directly with clients, providing updates, managing expectations, and resolving issues professionally
- Conduct quantity take-offs and progress measurements for reporting and billing purposes
- Ensure full understanding and control of the site’s timeline, resources, and deliverables
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and senior leadership to align execution with strategic goals
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field; A Master’s degree or certifications in relevant areas will be highly welcomed
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on site experience in large-scale construction or renovation projects
- Proven ability to manage complex projects independently, with full site responsibility
- Excellent understanding of architectural and mechanical drawings and construction methodologies
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project (or relevant project management tools)
- Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
