Intellectica is recruiting an experienced Survey Engineer on behalf of its client, a leading provider of specialized engineering solutions for subsea cable installation and offshore energy infrastructure. Renowned for its technical excellence, high‑performance offshore operations and quality‑driven project delivery, the company is expanding its survey and reporting capabilities to support a growing portfolio of international subsea cable projects. Based in Attiki, Greece, the Survey Engineer will work closely with Project Engineers, Cable Engineers and offshore survey teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling, maintaining and validating all survey deliverables.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Producing and maintaining survey deliverables for subsea cable installation projects, including As‑Built Route Position Lists (RPL), As‑Laid and As‑Buried coordinate lists, and final documentation packages
  • Processing offshore installation datasets such as vessel positioning data, layback calculations, plough burial data and cable lay logs
  • Updating and managing route drawings, survey charts and project documentation using AutoCAD, AutoChart, GIS or equivalent drafting/charting tools
  • Verifying accuracy, consistency and completeness of all survey‑related data prior to client submission
  • Preparing and updating As‑Laid charts, route maps and technical illustrations according to project templates and client specifications
  • Compiling survey reports, coordinate lists, route drawings and other as‑built documentation for inclusion in final project packages
  • Maintaining precise technical records and ensuring full traceability of installation data
  • Liaising with Cable Engineers, Project Engineers and offshore survey teams to validate installation records and resolve inconsistencies
  • Coordinating with shore‑end / land survey teams for data integration in HDD landfalls, beach manholes and transition joint areas
  • Supporting internal and external audits by providing accurate survey documentation and revisions when required
  • Ensuring that all survey deliverables adhere to applicable standards, coordinate systems (WGS84, UTM, local grids) and internal quality protocols
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of survey workflows, templates and data‑management practices
  • Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine or related field)
  • Prior experience working with survey datasets, positioning data or offshore installation records (subsea cable experience is a strong advantage)
  • Familiarity with hydrographic survey data, coordinate systems (WGS84, UTM, local grid transformations) and relevant industry standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or drafting/charting software (AutoChart, QGIS, GIS platforms)
  • Experience working with vessel positioning data, layback calculations and burial/installation logs
  • Strong ability to manage large datasets, maintain accurate technical records and prepare client‑ready documentation
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken
