Intellectica is recruiting an experienced and purpose-driven Business Development & Sales Lead on behalf of its client, a leading non-profit organization committed to creating equal opportunities through knowledge, employment, and personal development. Based in Athens, Greece, the successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and will own the commercial strategy across multiple ventures and lead a small, high-impact sales function.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Owning and evolving the commercial strategy across the venture portfolio, including definition of ICPs, target segments, value proposition, pricing & packaging, go-to-market approach and success metrics per venture
  • Leading and developing the sales function, including team management, target setting, coaching on messaging, objection handling and closing techniques, while actively stepping in to support or unblock high-value opportunities
  • Designing and driving the commercial operating model, translating strategic priorities into actionable sales plans with quarterly objectives, activity KPIs, and a structured cadence (weekly pipeline reviews, monthly performance tracking, and bi-weekly reporting to the CEO)
  • Leading end-to-end sales execution and business development activities, including lead generation, prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, negotiations, and deal closure, with active involvement in key deals
  • Managing pipeline governance and CRM infrastructure, ensuring accurate tracking of activities, forecasting, reporting on conversion rates and deal velocity, and maintaining full commercial visibility for leadership
  • Building and managing B2B partnerships and corporate client relationships, promoting the organization’s venture portfolio, platforms, and commercial offerings across target audiences
  • Driving employer sales for the B2B talent platform, leveraging existing networks and strategic introductions to secure paying clients and validate early commercial traction
  • Supporting the commercial scaling of additional ventures (e.g. B2B catering spin-off), by enabling sales execution, coaching, and opening access to strategic corporate accounts
  • Collaborating closely with Product teams to provide structured market and customer feedback, supporting product development, pilots, and commercial readiness
  • Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within SaaS, tech‑enabled platforms, HR tech, talent solutions or startup / venture environments
  • Proven experience in a player‑coach or sales leadership role, with responsibility for setting targets, mentoring team members and driving performance
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals in consultative, relationship‑driven sales cycles
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, pipeline management and sales reporting, with a data‑driven approach to forecasting and performance tracking
  • Fluent in Greek and proficient in English, both written and spoken
