Intellectica is recruiting an experienced Chief Technology Officer on behalf of a start-up company offering tech-enabled B2B & B2C services. Based in Athens, Greece and reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will craft the company’s technology strategy and lead its execution, playing a pivotal role in overseeing the development and implementation of the company’s solutions, addressing B2B and B2C markets.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the development and execution of the company’s technology strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Overseeing the design, development, and deployment of innovative software solutions to meet the needs of both B2B and B2C customers
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities and drive product innovation and differentiation
  • Managing and mentoring a talented team of developers, engineers, and IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
  • Driving continuous improvement in software development processes, methodologies, and tools to optimize efficiency, quality, and time-to-market
  • Ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of the company’s technology infrastructure and applications
  • Staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and integrating them into our technology roadmap and product offerings
  • Any other task required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MSc or related certification is considered a plus
  • At least 7 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership and innovation
  • Extensive experience with frontend and backend technologies such as React, PHP and Laravel
  • Experience in workflow systems, such as Camunda, and cloud-based systems is considered a strong plus
  • Experience in customer technical support and related processes is desired
  • Familiarity with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes
  • Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
