Intellectica is recruiting a passionate Environmental, Social, and Governance Manager (ESG Manager) on behalf of a leading strategic communications & consulting agency, having impact in more than 13 sectors in over 40 countries. Based in Athens, Greece and reporting to the management team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the company’s clients in sustainably managing their business and reporting needs by providing ESG expertise, as they adapt to changing environmental regulations and sustainability trends. This will involve providing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) expertise to deliver various ESG-related services and educate clients on the new regulatory requirements related to ESG, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and provide support in the non-financial reporting process.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting organizations in preparing sustainability reports, and implementing non-financial reporting processes such as CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, Greek Climate Law, and KPI calculations
- Supporting organizations in managing and reporting on their sustainability and climate-related risks and impacts
- Contributing to the development of strategies, solutions, methodologies, analytical frameworks, and tools to help clients navigate complex regulatory environments, meet stakeholder expectations, and achieve success
- Aiding clients in crafting and implementing sustainability strategies, setting targets, and executing plans to enhance sustainability across a wide range of areas, including diversity, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and environmental impacts
- Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of non-financial reporting, including sustainability metrics, emissions, and energy reporting, across various industry sectors
- Staying updated on industry trends, emerging regulations, and best practices in sustainability
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering
- Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences or relevant areas will be a plus
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of Sustainability providing guidance and reporting on internal and external sustainability matters such as sustainability strategy, sustainable supply chain, EU taxonomy reporting, sustainability transformation and valuing sustainability
- Thorough knowledge of sustainability reporting requirements in accordance with international frameworks (GRI, SDGs, ATHEX ESG, SASB, CDP etc.)
- Fluent in Greek and English
