Intellectica is recruiting a versatile Finance Trainee on behalf of a company focused on Real Estate Asset Management. Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting directly to the company’s Financial Analyst, the successful candidate will support the organization’s financial operations. The candidate is presented with a unique opportunity to be exposed to long-term real estate investing in multiple countries and to play a significant role in the growth trajectory of an Asset Management firm.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting the Financial Analyst in the submission of payments for approval in the e-banking system and updating the company’s cash flow report accordingly.
  • Issuing invoices and proof of payment receipts to tenants, and notifying them in case of delayed rent payments.
  • Collaborating with the Financial Analyst and external accountants to support monthly accounting, finalization of annual financial statements, preparation of personal tax declarations for the company’s unique beneficial owners, and enhancement of reporting.
  • Proactively communicating with banks to provide the organization with information on the best possible interest rates for time deposits and/or other alternative investments based on end-of-month free cash flow.
  • Assisting the Financial Analyst in the creation of the annual budget and business plan.
  • Collecting data and soliciting offers to analyze and propose investment opportunities aimed at reducing risk and/or increasing revenue within the current real estate portfolio.
  • Assisting the Financial Analyst in the calculation of common expenses in multi-tenant assets and proposing solutions to streamline processes.
  • Addressing ad hoc issues that may arise from external stakeholders (suppliers, tenants, authorities etc.).

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance or related subjects; Master’s degree and excellent grades are considered a strong plus
  • Experience in accounting & finance or related areas will be considered a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Fluent in Greek and English (both verbal and written)
