Intellectica is seeking a highly motivated HR Administrative Officer on behalf of a leading retailer with a network of over 30 stores across Greece. Recognized for its strong market presence and commitment to excellence, the company has a reputation for delivering high-quality products and services. Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting to the HR Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting payroll preparation and execution in close collaboration with the accounting department, overseeing employee time tracking, and assisting with compensation matters and other HR-related tasks.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Working closely with the accounting department and actively participating in the payroll process preparation and execution
- Preparing payroll-related data, including vacation days, sick leave and absences
- Collecting and processing daily and weekly timesheets to ensure accurate payroll input
- Managing HR systems for employee lifecycle activities, such as hiring, terminations, and updates on the ERGANI platform, while preparing necessary employment documentation
- Administering employee benefit programs, including family allowances, insurance policies, and other perks
- Monitoring the Digital Work Card system and ensuring compliance with ERGANI II requirements
- Ensuring the accuracy and maintenance of employee records, both physical and digital
- Liaising with external occupational health and safety services (EΞΥΠΠ) to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Staying informed about labor legislation changes and payroll regulations to maintain compliance
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant field; a Master’s Degree will be considered a plus
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, within in an organized HR department; previous experience in a retail environment will be considered an advantage
- Familiarity with HR management systems (HRM) and ERGANI system
- Good knowledge and understanding of Greek labor legislation and payroll regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office, with a strong focus on Excel
- Fluency in both English and Greek
