Intellectica is recruiting a highly motivated Investment Analyst/Associate on behalf of a respected venture capital fund based in Athens, Greece. Reporting to the fund’s partners, the successful candidate will play a crucial part in the origination and investment process as well as in portfolio management, while supporting in the execution of operational tasks.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Origination & Investment:
- Sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities in alignment with the fund’s strategic focus and participating in the entire investment process from origination to exit
- Screening potential investments and preparing reports
- Conducting comprehensive market analysis and research as well as performing due diligence
- Developing financial models, incorporating IRR returns, and other fund calculations, and preparing relevant Investment Memos
- Engaging in portfolio monitoring and maintaining active communication with portfolio companies
LP Reporting:
- Assisting in the preparation of presentations
- Contributing to LP reporting efforts
Operational Tasks:
- Maintaining ongoing communication with external parties, including custodians, lawyers, auditors and advisors
- Supporting fund structuring, auditing, valuation and tax management
- Managing capital calls, wire payments, distributions and monitoring fund expenses
- Overseeing the management of the fund’s website and LinkedIn presence, including posting updates on new investments and portfolio developments
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelors’ Degree from a reputable university; Master’s degree in Finance or related field is considered a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, engineering, or startups
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Fluent in Greek and English
