Intellectica is recruiting a dynamic Jr Site Engineer on behalf of a construction company that provides a wide range of services, including constructions, fit-out projects, facilities services, and industrial engineering. The company operates both in Greece and abroad, serving a clientele comprised of leading companies and organizations. The successful candidate support on site construction projects within Greece, and will report to the Project Manager.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Monitoring – Supervision of Projects: Presence on the projects to monitor the progress of the work. This includes the monitoring of construction works and reporting to resolve any issues that arise during the work
- Quality Control: Ensuring that the work is performed according to the technical specifications and quality standards. This includes the inspection of materials (reception, incorporation into the project) and construction processes. Maintaining an excellent image of the construction site
- Time Management: Ensuring that tasks are completed within the predefined time frames and that the project progresses according to the schedule
- Health and Safety: Supporting compliance with health and safety standards at the workplace by ensuring that employees adhere to these rules
- Communication and Reporting: Maintaining contact with the site engineer and the project’s project manager, providing reports on project progress and any arising issues
- Conducting Pre-measurements and Measurements: Performing pre-measurements and measurements of the works and the required materials for orders
- ERP Program Update: Updating the ERP program in the projects he supervises in the circuit of purchase orders and certifications
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- University or Technical College degree in Civil Engineering; an additional qualification or certification is considered a plus
- Limited or no work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and AUTOCAD
- Knowledge of MS Project and BIM is considered a plus
- Holder of a valid driver’s license
- Fluency in Greek and English; knowledge of a French or German is considered a plus
