Intellectica is recruiting an experienced Procurement Officer on behalf of a leading Food Processing & Packaging Equipment Company with a 50-year presence in the field of food processing and packaging. Based in Northen Athens, Greece and reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate’s primary goal is to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement operations by managing supplier relationships, monitoring inventory, and maintaining accurate financial and ERP records to support the company’s business objectives.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Execute and manage procurement orders, ensuring compliance with company standards and  timelines
• Maintain proactive communication with international suppliers to secure competitive pricing and timely deliveries
• Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory management to support uninterrupted operations
• Track and analyze procurement costs, contributing to accurate budgeting and cost-efficiency initiatives
• Maintain comprehensive procurement records and prepare detailed reports for management review
• Utilize ERP systems (Softone) to ensure accurate data entry and process integrity
• Collaborate with Sales and Logistics teams to align procurement activities with business needs
• Prepare and submit competitive offers to clients, supporting commercial objectives
• Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
• Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in procurement or supply chain operations, preferably within a structured corporate environment, with a proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Softone ERP
• Familiarity with CRM will be considered an asset
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, to facilitate seamless communication with international suppliers
