Intellectica is seeking a motivated and dynamic Procurement Officer on behalf of a leading dairy products manufacturer. Based in Northern Athens, Greece, and reporting directly to the company’s Supply Chain Director, the ideal candidate will be a meticulous yet adaptable professional with a strong understanding of procurement practices. The role involves ordering raw materials and packaging supplies, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Issuing the programme for raw materials and packaging materials purchases by analysing the sales orders, production schedule, and inventory levels
- Communicating on a daily basis with existing suppliers to confirm material delivery timelines and report quality issues, where applicable
- Ordering additional materials based on urgent updates of the production schedule
- Continuously searching for new suppliers with the aim of improving the quality and price of ordered materials
- Researching and recommending optimal methods of shipping materials from abroad, where required
- Participating in weekly meetings of the R&D Department to provide advice on new material costs and update related purchases
- Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a Higher or Technical Educational Institute in Business Administration, Food Technology, Chemistry, Agronomy or a relevant field; MSc in Supply Chain Management is considered a plus
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar role
- Proficient use of MS Office; knowledge of Entersoft or other ERP systems is considered a strong plus
- Fluent in Greek and English
