Intellectica is recruiting a highly self-motivated Quality Assurance Engineer on behalf of a fast-growing Technology Services Company focusing on connecting shipping companies with suppliers and service providers via its cutting-edge e-platform. Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting to the VP Engineering, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality in all provided services.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Conducting thorough manual testing to identify, document, and report bugs and opportunities for improvements
- Being an integral part of the entire product lifecycle, contributing from ideation through to deployment
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights and ensure quality at every stage
- Working closely with development and product teams to comprehend upcoming features, enhancements, and changes
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including well-organized test cases, bug reports, and status reports, by ensuring that testing processes are well-documented to facilitate efficient communication within the team
- Actively contributing to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies, by providing input on best practices, tools, and techniques to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the quality assurance process
- Staying abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to bring innovative testing solutions to the team
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar position, demonstrating your expertise in manual testing in a software development team
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS
- Experience with an agile methodology and tools like Jira, Confluence and Jenkins or similar CI tool
- Proficiency in SQL for database testing
- Experience using Postman for API testing
- Ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans
- Knowledge of Linux and scripting will be regarded as a plus
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java will be considered advantageous
- Prior experience in automation testing is a prerequisite
- Familiarity with Robot Framework will be viewed as an additional asset
- Fluent in Greek and English
