Intellectica is recruiting a highly skilled Test & Integration Engineer on behalf of a leading defense software development and systems integration company headquartered in Athens, with a global presence. With more than 30 years of expertise in the defense and security sectors, the company specializes in Tactical Data Links and Interoperability Solutions, Mission and Command & Control Systems, and Surveillance technologies. Based in Athens, Greece, the successful candidate will join agile teams responsible for delivering high-quality solutions to domestic and international customers, and will report to the company’s engineering management. Occasional travel may be required, with all travel expenses fully covered.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Analyzing task requirements and verifying software and system specifications for testability
  • Defining and implementing test plans and procedures to verify user stories, software features, and system behaviors
  • Executing test cases and performing exploratory testing, identifying and reporting defects and anomalies
  • Debugging issues, analyzing abnormal system behavior, and coordinating root cause resolution
  • Writing test documentation in accordance with the company’s Engineering Documentation Standards
  • Participating in formal reviews, verification and acceptance activities, and providing support during operational testing
  • Integrating software and hardware components and supporting on-site and factory acceptance testing
  • Supporting installation, check-out, warranty services, upgrades, and customer hotline assistance
  • Providing technical input to management on system performance and software development challenges
  • Contributing to team goals and offering support across functions when needed, beyond the direct scope of testing

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software systems testing within a structured test environment
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, ICMP)
  • Experience with system-level testing, including performance, memory, and processor resource validation
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and define thorough and traceable test cases
  • Skilled in executing and debugging complex test scenarios
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Proficient in Greek and English
