Intellectica is recruiting an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst on behalf of a leading Maritime Saas platform empowering data-driven decision-making for charterers, brokers, and owners. The company’s primary product enables shipping professionals to securely handle, integrate, and assess intricate collections of private and public shipping data via machine learning and artificial intelligence. Based in Athens, Greece or London, United Kingdom and forming part of the company’s analytics team, the successful candidate will have experience from a similar role and be responsible to convert data to business insights relating to the shipping & commodities markets and communicating them through reports. The candidate reports to the company’s Business Intelligence Manager.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing high-performing datasets combining diverse data sources
- Proficiently understanding and interpreting data, identifying actionable trends
- Building insightful reports driving Signal’s clients daily decision making
- Fully owning reports, ensuring the accuracy of underlying data and resolving any issues
- Collaborating with the company’s global Product and Commercial departments, including Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Warehouse teams, to provide precise market analysis
- Constructing and monitoring product analytics, encompassing client engagement, retention, and feature utilization
- Enhancing existing reports based on client feedback
- Conducting market research and staying informed about market developments
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics related fields
- More than 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in creating data reports that effectively communicate insights and trends to stakeholders through compelling data storytelling
- Strong SQL and at least one BI tool (preferably PowerBI) knowledge
- Experience working with large and unstructured datasets within a Data Warehouse to create meaningful datasets
- Knowledge of Python is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of Greek is considered a plus
