Intellectica is recruiting an experienced M&A Project Manager on behalf of an internationally recognized Group of Companies present in the Aerospace, Defense, Security and High Technology markets. Based in Athens, Greece and reporting directly to the Head of M&A and Investor Relations, the successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing M&A targets, ensuring seamless execution of projects, and managing post-acquisition integration.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting comprehensive market analysis and research for potential acquisition targets, according to the company’s overall investment strategy
  • Identifying and evaluating potential M&A and other investment opportunities, considering market trends, competitive landscapes, and financial feasibility
  • Analyzing investment memorandums and preparing internal Investment Memos to aid decision-making processes
  • Working closely with the legal and financial teams to navigate negotiations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relating to investments and acquisitions
  • Analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and presenting insights to internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential investors, serving as their primary point of contact
  • Developing project management plans, ensuring effective coordination of resources and timely delivery of project milestones
  • Monitoring projects’ progress (timelines, budgets, and resources), ensuring adherence to the project plan and verifying that expected deliverables are realized on time and meet high-quality standards
  • Acting as a liaison across departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals throughout the project lifecycle
  • Providing regular updates during internal meetings on project progress, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions
  • Overseeing the post-acquisition integration process, ensuring a smooth transition of acquired entities into the company’s operations

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Master’s degree in Finance or an MBA will be considered a plus
  • PMP, PMI or other relevant project management certification is considered a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management, management consulting, investment banking or private equity
  • Exposure to M&A projects will be a significant advantage
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (advanced MS Excel skills)
  • Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
