Intellectica is recruiting a motivated Procurement Specialist (Raw Materials) on behalf of a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality pumps and systems, used in a large variety of water applications with exports to 100 countries. Based in Kryoneri, Athens, the successful candidate will report to the Head of the Technical Department and will be responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement of raw materials essential to the company’s manufacturing processes.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Being part of the execution of the projects and planning the timely supply of raw materials based on the production plan
- Demonstrating proficiency in interpreting drawings and designs for strategic planning and executing accurate procurement processes
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers of raw materials
- Negotiating better prices and cost-effective solutions to minimize production costs
- Implementing cost-effective strategies to optimize procurement processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborating with engineering and production department to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure that raw materials meet the required standards
- Providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field; in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering) will be an advantage
- At least 1 year of experience in procurement, specifically in sourcing raw materials
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Good knowledge of an ERP system
- Fluency in Greek and English
