Intellectica is recruiting a seasoned VP, International Business Development on behalf of a premier provider of innovative business messaging services. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will leverage his industry knowledge to spearhead the company’s expansion into new export markets, fostering growth and positioning the firm as a leader in the mobile messaging industry

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive international business development strategy to enter and expand into new markets
  • Leveraging existing relationships and cultivate new contacts within the mobile messaging services industry to create opportunities for partnerships and collaborations
  • Conducting market research to identify trends, demands, and regulatory environments that influence market entry strategies
  • Negotiating and closing deals with international clients, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and financial objectives
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align business development strategies with company-wide initiatives
  • Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings to promote its services and secure business opportunities
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on progress towards business objectives to the Board of Directors and other key stakeholders

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • At least 10 years of experience in a business development role with a global mobile messaging services provider
  • Proven track record of opening and developing export markets
  • Strong network of contacts within the international mobile messaging industry
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
